- No automatic capture or transmission occurs

Processing is based on your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a), Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR) for the following purposes:
- Documentation of your uric acid values
- Maintaining a meal diary
- Analysis and visualization of your data
Local Storage
All data is primarily stored locally on your device. You have full control over your data at all times. The local database is stored encrypted.
Google Drive Backups
If you enable the backup feature with the "Google Drive Backup" option:
- Your data is stored encrypted in your personal Google Drive
- Legal basis: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
- You can disable and delete backups at any time
- Note: With this option, AI-based hints for improving your diet cannot be generated
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Service Backup
If you enable the backup feature with the "Service Backup" option:
- Your uric acid values, meals, and food items are transferred anonymously to a service
- The data is linked to an anonymous GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) that does not allow conclusions to be drawn about your person
- The service provider cannot determine which person the data belongs to
- Optionally, gender and birth year can be provided to receive personalized AI-based hints for improving your diet
- This data is also transferred anonymously and is not linked to your person
- Settings are still stored encrypted in your personal Google Drive (if you are signed in with Google and have set a backup password)
- Legal basis: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)
- You can disable this option at any time
Google Gemini AI
If you use the photo analysis feature:

- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Delete All Data Function
The app provides a function to completely delete all data. You can find a button for this directly below the privacy policy in the app:
- This function deletes all local data in the app (uric acid values, meals, food items, reminders)
- All backups in Google Drive are deleted
- All anonymized data in the service is deleted (if Service Backup was enabled)
- Important: Only you as the user can delete the anonymized data in the service. If you want your anonymized data in the service to be deleted, you must use this function before uninstalling the app. After uninstalling the app, deletion of anonymized data in the service is no longer possible, as no connection can be established between your app installation and the anonymized data in the service.
You can withdraw your consent to data processing at any time with future effect by:
- Disabling the backup feature
- Switching from Service Backup to Google Drive Backup
- Disabling AI analysis
- Revoking camera permission in system settings
- Deleting app data
- Uninstalling the app
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority:
We use technical and organizational measures:
- Local Storage: All data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database
- Google Drive Backup: If you enable Google Drive Backup, your data is encrypted with a password you set and stored in your personal Google Drive. Only you have access to this encrypted data.
- Service Backup: If you enable Service Backup, your uric acid values, meals, and food items are transferred anonymously to our servers. The data is linked to an anonymous GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) that is generated locally on your device. This GUID does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. The anonymized data on our servers cannot be linked to your identity or your encrypted Google Drive backups. Settings are always stored encrypted in your personal Google Drive (if you are signed in with Google and have set a backup password), never on our servers.
- Data Separation: The anonymous GUID used for Service Backup is generated locally, only your app has access to it. It is stored encrypted on Google Drive to be available after a reinstallation. Only with the help of the GUID can the backed-up data be assigned. The two backup systems operate completely independently.
- Camera access only on explicit user action
This privacy policy may be updated when the app changes. The current version is always available in the app.
